Men's Open 2026

Congratulations to Southerndown Golf Club member Mark Bloomfield on winning the Men's Open.

In testing conditions, Mark produced an excellent score of 39 points, securing victory on countback with a superior back nine after finishing tied with two other competitors on the same score.

Despite the flash flooding experienced the previous day, the course was presented in a very playable condition for all competitors. This was a tremendous effort by the greenkeeping staff on weekend duty, whose hard work ensured the event could proceed successfully.

Due to the damage caused by the flooding, a decision was made to place all bunkers under Ground Under Repair (GUR) for the day, with preferred lies also in operation.
