Verti-draining

8 SEPTEMBER 2008 12:00

Verti-draining will inevitably cause some disruption - e.g. some temporary greens and uneven surfaces - but the course still remains open for play.  The surface will return to normal over the course of the week with the daily routine of cutting / brushing.

The benefit of verti-draining is that it gives a heave to the top 10 - 14 inches and this reduces compaction and improves aeration.

Andrew is hoping to finish the work today (Monday) because of the likelihood of more rain tomorrow.
