Bulletin 14: Westgate takes the lead

The afternoon session began in dramatic style with leader Andy Sullivan taking a 7 up the first.  A further dropped shot at the 6th added to his woes, but he rallied with birdies on the 7th and 9th, and a steady back 9 played in level par left him 2 over for the round - on level par for the first day.

 

Welsh International Ben Westgate rose to the challenge and his level par round gave him a 1-shot lead over his English rival.
