Second round cancelled of the Duncan Putter 2018.

7 APRIL 2018 08:00

Second round of the 2018 Duncan Putter has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

A decision was made based on the fact that the forecast was for heavy rain until at least 10:30am. With the course requiring an hour to drain it meant that it would be impossible to get the field of 92 players around the course by the end of the day and would require a number of players having to start their rounds the following day.

In the interest of the Duncan Putter tournament, the officials wanted to play as many rounds as possible. Making a one round cut will allow for 36 holes to be played on the final day.

These decisions are never easy, however they are made with the best interest of the tournament. Southerndown would like to thank all players for their appreciation and understanding.

Final day tee times will be posted by 9am.
