Strong Field Set To Compete For The 2017 Duncan Putter

15 MARCH 2017 12:03

The start times have been released for this year’s Duncan Putter tournament at Southerndown Golf Club. Despite the tournament competing with a very busy schedule on the elite amateur circuit this year, the tournament features a great number of the UK's best players. Heading the field is Wales International Lee Jones (Conwy Golf Club) playing off a handicap +4, also looking for a second win in this prestigious event is Josh Davies, also playing off a handicap +4.

Southerndown has a number of local interests with Llew Matthews, Keion Harman, Jake Hapgood and last year’s winner Kyle Harman all in the field automatically following the ballot. The club has extended invitations to a further four Southerndown members Nathan Chilcott, Owen Greenow, Jaco Van der Merwe and young Harry Watkins, playing in his first Duncan Putter at the tender age of 16. We wish them all well for the weekend in April, where I'm sure there will be plenty of support on hand to watch them compete for the coveted title.
