Club announcement - Junior Captain Morgan Parker

We have a new Junior Captain, Morgan Parker. Well done Morgan for representing Southerndown Juniors for many years we are all looking forward to you being captain for the Junior Section of the Club.

Junior Stableford Competition 20/05/2012

Congratulations again to Bethan with two wins in a row! She had a very consistent round with a whole host of pars on her card. Steady and impressive play made her a clear winner.

Well done also to Harry for digging deep with a very good round from a shaky start.

A Fantastic effort from Gwillym and Ellis who completed their first 18 hole competition and both showed excellent promise for the future.

Drive of The Day

Morgan Parker Junior Captain Crashing a Phil Mickleson style drive down the 18th on the top level as far as the eye could see.

Luckiest Shot of The Day

Harry Watkins on the 7th who crashed into the flag stick on the 7th with his second shot when it could have been so different. However after almost seeing it drop into the hole calmly stroked it in from two inches for an exciting par.

Birdie of The Day

James Hunt with an Impressive drive down the 4th and following it with an excellent birdie.Well done James!

General News and Future Dates

Dan Thomas and Gill Parker Junior Organisers would like to thank all the Juniors that took part and the continued level of commitment they are showing to the Junior Section.

Just a reminder there is Junior Coaching Every Saturday and the Junior Organisers and Junior Captain are looking to build on this and make it really fun for all the Juniors.

As mentioned before with the football and rugby seasons coming to a close we would appreciate more Juniors or associates to come along to the coaching and competitions organised for the summer and the rest of the year. Parents and Grandparents please take note.

Junior Associates - 9am - 10am
Juniors - 10am - 11am
